From Teenage Coder to Tech Founder

"I didn't learn to code by reading textbooks. I learned by building. Now, I'm teaching the next generation to do the same"

Codexa Academy is the brainchild of Kolade Afolabi, a software engineer who started his own coding journey as a teenager during the 2020 pandemic.

While the world was on pause, Kolade was building. He realized that the traditional way of teaching computer science—endless theory and memorization, doesn't work for creative minds. To succeed in tech, you don't just need to read; you need to build.

Today, Codexa Academy exists to replicate that success for others. We take ambitious kids and teens (ages 10–19) and guide them through the exact same path: from writing their first line of code to building professional apps, games, and websites.

Meet your Lead Instructor

Kolade is not just an educator; he is an active software engineer building the future of African tech.

He is the CEO of Strippple Technologies Limited, where he leads the development of enterprise solutions like StripppleCare (a blockchain healthcare platform) and Compoundium (a financial modeling tool).

Unlike traditional computer science lecturers who only teach theory, Kolade brings current, industry-standard experience into the classroom. He teaches Codexa students the exact same tools, workflows, and mindset he uses to build professional software every day.

Our Code of Conduct

Our values guide us in our mission to deliver the best coding education experience and shape the future of technology.

Curiosity over Syntax

We believe coding isn't just about memorizing rules; it's about asking "What if?" We encourage students to break things, experiment, and understand the logic behind the code, not just the typing

Community & Mentorship

No coder succeeds alone. We foster a supportive tribe where students review each other's code, solve problems together, and get direct mentorship from instructors who actually work in the industry.

Build Real Things

Theory is useless without application. We are obsessed with project-based learning. Every student at Codexa doesn't just pass a test; they finish the course with a portfolio of games, websites, and apps they created themselves.
